COVID bivalent booster vaccines

The Federal Drug and Food Administration (FDA) has authorized the use of Moderna and Pfizer Bivalent Vaccines for a single additional booster dose given 2 months after completion of the primary series or the most recent booster dose of an approved or authorized monovalent (original) COVID-19 vaccine.

We are offering the updated Pfizer Bivalent COVID booster vaccine in the office, which is currently authorized for those 12 years and older.

Monovalent (original) mRNA COVID-19 vaccines are no longer authorized by FDA as booster doses for individuals 12 years of age and older. They are still used for primary series vaccination, and for boosters for children age 5-11 years at this time.

You can schedule an appointment for a COVID vaccine through your MyChart portal.
