Pediatric Telemedicine

Telemedicine is here at Pediatrics 5280!

We have the ability to schedule telemedicine appointments with our providers.  When you call to schedule an appointment, our front desk or triage nurses will discuss your concerns and determine if the visit needs to be seen in the office, or if a telemedicine/video appointment would be an option. Our staff will then walk you through the telemedicine process.  You just need the ability to connect to video chat through MyChart/Epic on either a home computer or through your phone. These visits are billed through your insurance just like a regular in-office visit.

Tips for a successful telemedicine appointment

1. Try to sit in well lit, quiet area of the house so the provider can easily see and hear the patient.
2. Depending on the reason for the appointment, it may be helpful to have a light available to make it easier to see into the mouth or areas of the skin for rashes.
3. We may ask for an updated weight for the patient, depending when you have last been in the office.
