Donald Traver, MD, grew up in southern New York before earning his medical degree at the Medical University of South Carolina. After completing his residency in Norfolk, VA at the Children’s Hospital of the King’s Daughter, he moved to Anchorage, AK to serve in the United States Air Force. He arrived in Colorado in 2011 with his wife, a Colorado native. He has two children and enjoys running, hiking, skiing and spending time with his family. He serves our country in the Air Forces Reserves. He joined Pediatrics 5280 in June of 2013 and enjoys seeing patients at the Castle Rock office.
We have felt extremely blessed to have our children go here! We love Dr. Traver, he has seen all three of our children since birth. He is kind, compassionate, and genuinely cares about his patients. I still remember when I had a vaccine question with my first baby and he personally looked into the information and called me to answer my question - I was so impressed by the care and time he took to do that. The office staff and nurses are also all very friendly and professional. So grateful we found this place for our children!
We love Dr. Traver! While this office is VERY BUSY currently, they work hard to fit in as many patients as humanly possible in a day. Dr. Traver always takes his time, speaks to my children while he is examining them and overall just truly cares!

Been with Dr. T for well over 8 years. He is such a good doctor, and his bedside manner with my kids cannot be overstated. I would drive 100 miles if I had to. Luckily he's around the corner. And the medical staff there are always so nice and professional.
He is by far the BEST and we travel 8 hrs to see him when we need too he has been there since my daughter was born that's 6 yrs we love him!!!
