Pediatric Counseling Resources

Our pediatric counseling resources offer counseling services for parents and patients of our office.


We are excited to be collaborating with 5280 Behavioral and Mental Health Center (5280 BHMC).


5280 BHMC is a center started by Natalie Vona, PhD, a licensed psychologist.


She is available to see our patients, as are several other behavioral and mental health providers. Pediatrics 5280 does not  schedule or bill directly through our office, please see their website or contact them directly for more information.

Our pediatric counseling collaborators specialize in evaluating and treating children, adolescents, and their families. They are highly experienced in caring for children experiencing a variety of issues including anxiety, trouble sleeping, fears, and more.

We also have many other resources available depending on the patient age, need, location and insurance.

  • 0-3 Years of Age
    • Parental post-partum depression or anxiety
    • Parental feelings of isolation
    • Going through a traumatic pregnancy or birth
    • Dealing with the diagnosis of medical or genetic issue
    • Sleep concerns
    • Fussy babies
  • 3-6 Years of Age
    • Behavior: tantrums, aggression, or noncompliance with dressing, brushing teeth, buckling seat belt, etc.
    • Toilet training
    • Picky eater
    • Sleep: trouble falling asleep alone, trouble staying asleep, night terrors or nightmares
    • Anxiety and fears: monsters, leaving parents
    • Separation anxiety
    • Parental training on a variety of issues

  • 6-9 Years of Age

    • School refusal: does not or will not go to school

    • Separation anxiety (difficulty leaving parents to go to school or to a friend’s)

Meet our Pediatric Counseling Collaborator

Natalie Vona, PhD


Natalie Vona, PhD, is a Licensed Psychologist who specializes in evaluating and treating children, adolescents, and their families. She grew up in Buffalo, NY, earned her undergraduate degree in Psychology from the State of New York at Oswego, and her Masters of Arts and Doctoral Degrees in Counseling Psychology from Northeastern University in Boston, MA. She completed her APA-approved Pre-doctoral Internship and Post-doctoral Fellowship at the Kennedy Krieger Institute and the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine. Dr. Vona also completed a Pre-doctoral training at the Dana Farber Cancer Institute and Boston Children’s Hospital.


Dr. Vona is married with four children and loves to exercise, play tennis, go to music concerts, and travel with her family. She loves being a psychologist, and is excited to work closely with the Pediatrics 5280 team, and use her skills to attend to the emotional, behavioral, and social needs of patients.
